Adventure Ed Clubs:

Gadgets, gizmos, and inventions: This club will explore the invention process, including identifying need, brainstorming, planning, prototyping, testing, patenting and production. Kids will be able to prototype their own inventions. Skills covered will include electronics, physics, voiding warrantees, modifying and repairing. This will be a hands-on class with lots of fun activities. Emphasis on FUN and SAFETY.

Kites, Paper Airplanes, Aerodynamics, and Rockets: This club will give kids a chance to understand and test the principles of flight. We will explore the process of testing and improving our designs. This class will include lots of buliding and experimenting, including using kits to build a model rocket! Emphasis on FUN and SAFETY.

Kinetic Math: This class will be the funnest class of all, featuring non-competitive insanely fun games that incorporate math. Attendance at this club will be mandatory for kids if they intend to participate in any of the other clubs. Skills covered will include multipication tables, percents, fractions, unit multipliers, and simple algebra. All skill and ability levels will be accomodated in a comfortable, non-competitive atmosphere. Emphasis is on MEMORIZATION and learning MATH CONCEPTS in a physical, practical way.

Computers: This club will give kids a chance to explore the digital information world. Explanations of how and why computers work the way they do, finding and evaluating internet sources of information, appropriate use of computers, and age-appropriate training in internet research techniques, web site building, implications of social networking, copyright issues, and evaluating information. Sounds boring but we will have tons of FUN FUN things to do, trust me.
